Herschel Vicars Equestrian Camp & Trails OPEN Januray 20th thru October 1st

In June 2010, the Clark County Park District Board of Commisioners honored the many hours of volunteer work by Mr Vicars by dedicating the Herschel Vicars Equestrian Camp & Trails. The camp is located at the South end of the main park. Riders can currently primitive camp with horses at regular primitive camping rates. Non-potable (not for human consumption) water is available in the camp area for horses. Shower facilities, restrooms, and potable water are located near the Equestrian Camp in the main campground for riders.

There are more than 15 miles of trails and we look forward to adding more trails and Equestrian specific events to our line up in the coming years.

About Us

Mill Creek Park is located 7 miles Northwest of Marshall, IL on the Lincoln Heritage Trail Road (Clarksville Road). Mill Creek Park opened May 29, 1982 and consists of 2,600 acres of land, with 811 acres of water. Our Mission is to "manage and preserve the natural resources and provide health and recreational opportunities".
